A First Poem

This little poem just came into my head while suffering from the flu. I thought I might share it here.

Lady

Lady Baby, let’s go for a walk

Not today mummy, let’s just talk

With your big brown eyes you know me so well

When you kept me going when I never fell

Over the hills, through the woods, along the beach

We had far to reach

Out in the sun, rain, gales and sleet;

the weather not always so sweet

when you kept me going when I never fell

Over the years we talked and we walked

Until thoughts and body were strong again

Four little legs and a heart full of love

Until I felt I could fly like a dove

When you kept me going and I never fell

For Lady, 2005-2016 by Michelle Anne Farley. Her loving mummy
